Mario and the team at Roof Rescue were great to work with. I read their ad and discovered it was a bunch of Firefighters making up the group. I expected honesty and integrity to get a fair inspection for repairs if needed and not an up sale for an entire roof replacement. Mario delivered on all accounts. Thanks again for helping complete the required repairs and for excellent service and fair pricing.
Greenwell Springs, LA
The original shingles on this Greenwell Springs church had aged out across the entire roof, so a patch was never going to hold. Roof Rescue stripped the building to bare decking and rebuilt the roof system from the deck up.
The crew started at first light in heavy fog and closed the roof in under clear sky the same day. Finishing in a single pass matters on a church building, because it never sits open overnight and the congregation keeps its schedule.
This roof was not carrying a single layer of shingles. Roughly 2,325 square feet of roof, about 26 squares, came off along with 69 squares worth of additional roofing material above the first layer.
On a church building that matters twice over. It is more weight on the structure than the original design allowed for, and it is more tear-off, more disposal and more time before the deck is even visible. A sheet of plywood also had to be replaced once the deck was open.
The congregation was also quoted a standing-seam metal option alongside the shingle system, and chose the shingle rebuild. Both were priced properly rather than one being used to make the other look reasonable.
Going down to the deck is the only way to see what the old shingles were hiding. Soft spots, popped nails and worn boards all get handled before the new roof goes on, and the shingle manufacturer’s warranty terms hold up because the system is installed the way it was designed to be.
Roof Rescue works on churches, businesses and homes across Greenwell Springs and the wider Baton Rouge area.
